I have wandered past this place several times and always been curious despite me not really being a huge sushi lover. I visited here February 2025 with someone from Chile to give them a taste from home and it was a brilliant experience. Firstly I should point out that you have to wait about 10-15 minutes for your food as it was cooked/prepared fresh to order, you do get told this at the ordering point so if you are in a hurry then do consider this before ordering. We were not fussed and would rather wait so we get something fresh and were allowed to wander around town for 10 minutes until returning where we then sat down in the stools at the window and chatted to the owners who were very friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. We got the beef Empanadas which my friend from Chile said was like being back at home, a smile came upon his face as he was eating, he hadn't been in Chile since before Covid and it really made him happy, I had never tried one before but I enjoyed it. It reminded me of a Cornish pasty but with lots more gravy and no potato and was served with a garlic dip. I have been told by someone that they have stopped doing these? I cannot say for sure but if so then that is a shame as they were delicious. We also had some deep fried chicken sushi that was served with a teriyaki sauce dip. They were really nice and light and were nice enough even without the dip and I will definitely be returning when I have friends visiting the city who love their sushi. Pricing was more expensive than your standard lunch going to a cafe for a toastie etc but still fair pricing for the actual quantity and quality of the meal. I think the Empanadas were around £7-8 and the Sushi was around £14. Thank you Sushi Ness for your delicious meal and giving the city something different.

Although sushi is a kind of common dish in Taiwan, it’s our first time to try “fried” sushi roll in chilean style. It’s amazing since the fried layer is very thin and crispy with a taste of salmon. The California roll is also superb and fresh, tapping with green onions. Not to mention Empanadas, which is also our first try, is very delicious. We can feel the owner and the chef are dedicated to cook awesome dishes in town. Deeply appreciated for the food, the service and the stories shared us, especially on international sushi day (we happened to know it’s today when other customer mentioned it)

The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming — he even gave us great recommendations for local places to visit in the evening. The taste of the sushi was outstanding, and the prices were more than reasonable. Highly recommended!

First time trying deep fried sushi rolls and it was amazing. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. We also had empanadas as starters and they were amazing too. It's definitely the place to have sushi in Inverness. And they have vegan options too.

Owner was very friendly and helpful with the menu! Very knowledgeable and understanding of vegan diet substitutions. The food itself was incredible! Left extremely satisfied. The place is small with only a few small tables, but don't let that deter you! FYI - You can bring your own wine/beer and he recommends it!

A restaurant with fun types of sushi rolls and poke bowls. We enjoyed the California Ebi tempura roll with fried prawn. It was fresh & delicious! Friendly service. Would highly recommend.

I came here with my wife on the first night about 30+- minutes before closing. The owner said I'm sorry, but everything is sold out, I said to my wife I respect place like that and know for sure that's a place to eat the most fresh food, so that's what we did, we came the the next day around lunch time and ordered many good things, and guess what? Everything WAS SO FRESH AND TASTY! I'm sorry I didn't take any pictures. When the food came out, I just wanted to eat everything , thank you again for your amazing food and service! Definitely highly recommend!
